Hi All. Aggregating threads/data from third-party sources is not really within the scope of this forum. However you can accomplish this quite easily yourself with an RSS reader. Feedly is probably the easiest and most popular option, free to use up to 100 feeds. However, there are plenty of other free and paid options. Most forums, including this one; have multiple RSS feeds you can subscribe to (look for the [image: 1726570922525-screenshot-2024-09-17-120153.png] icon). If you want to further customise your experience you can do so from your user profile.

Thank you Adam for your email today. This turned out to my fault, I'd put it into IM Money Markets (as there was a few quid in there I wanted to use), which of course is not cash, so takes time to sell down. Switches completed today.

@nilamac said in Is there plans to improve the forum structure?: @Renmure-Jim I hope this never happens. Or that the moderators block/remove them ... Can’t believe you can have a serious forum about pensionzzzzzz and investmentzzzzz and savingzzzzz without a few cats thrown into the mix for a bit of balance. Hey ho.

@Jasey_ It would, but when I want to split a chunk between three different holdings that's not an option, and after doing the first two I'm not sure what would happen if I left the third as "Full switch", what would happen if that was processed first, of course I could have left the third one until another day. Once the tax rebate comes in I'll do a full switch, I only paid it in as cash so I could use the £4.03 that was in cash. I still have odd amounts in PHO and PHE. Ultimately its a bug in the website that needs fixing though, as there is nothing wrong with 2 decimal place

FWIW, it seems to me that in the world of investing then taking our hands off the wheel is often the route to the best results. On that basis then a slight hiatus is perhaps no bad thing, presuming that we all remain invested in the things that we thought worthwhile in the first place.

Hi Slow Horses Great user name, love the series. There is no charge for guidance and this is usually a great starting point as it will help you decide if you are better served by using the guidance model or if you do need advice. The fees for any advice will vary dependent on what the advice needs to cover. If advice is the route that you decide to explore we will allows let you know what the fees are before any work is done so you can decide if the fee is worth the service you need. Nik

Hi @iestyn and @Slow-Horses We charge a flat rate of £350 for all the research, application, and delivery. For all forum members that join before Christmas we will reduce that to £250. Our mortgage advisers are independent and conduct their research through the whole of the market. They will try and do everything for you and chase through to conclusion. If you would like to speak to them at any point you can contact them on 01622 522785. Alternatively if you have any general questions feel free to post here and we will try and answer.

@VvrooomM said in To use an IFA or not use an IFA: Age 52.5, possibly planning to retire in the next couple of years. Can’t begin drawdown until 55 obviously but have some savings to bridge the gap. Do I need an IFA though, would it be wise/prudent to have one? Got my fingers burnt with the last one that was absolutely useless. I have my person split between IM/CD and ii, my investments are self chosen with my ongoing costs being circa 0.82% with IM/CD and 0.22% with ii per annum. Thanks for the thoughts in advance. Hi VvrooomM If you want to look at guidance first drop me a message and we can set a call/meeting up. We can then chat through what you are looking to do, what things you may need to consider and the options available. If you feel that you have enough information and understanding after that to make your own decisions and plans then you may decide that you don't need advice If you're still not sure after that you can either then take some advice from us or find another IFA. I would hope that at that point, if feel you need advice you will know what you are looking for from an adviser. Cheers Nik

Thanks Nik and of course I take on board your comments on Protection. In normal circumstances that would be the sensible approach. A Chancellor that has no qualms about shafting a Pensioner on £13k pa will not think twice about targeting people with larger pension pots.
