Stability

As a private client transferred from IM can you advise what your plans are to reinforce and reassure future stability.
After reading some interesting and probably emotive posts elsewhere and being very much hands off I'm looking for some degree of continuity and ongoing stability.
Thanks

Hi AG,
The running of the portfolios are as they were. The same investment committee(no change) and the same philosophy. If you have something specific please let me know.

Welcome to the forum.
The core of the team that looked after you in the past are now with Cobens Direct and Quai and we are working hard to build and grow the same service and support that you have been used to.
Part of the reason that Adam and I came across to Cobens to build Cobens Direct is the shared core belief in looking after clients and getting the service right.
Following IM being placed into administration Quai and Cobens inherited a back log of work and increased enquires from the IFA side of the IM business along with the inevitable disruptions caused by a business failing and then being rescued by new owners.
It also meant that we hadn’t had time to plan the change, so a smooth transition was always going to be a challenge!
In the short term this meant “all hands to the pump”, new staff recruited and existing staff training the new recruits.
We have now established a dedicated Cobens Direct team within Quai/IM, again with the core of this team the same as the team that looked after you before. We also have a great existing team at Cobens all on hand to help and bring additional experience to support Cobens Direct.
Both Quai and Cobens have great reputations for excellent customer service and are leading providers in the sector so you are in good hands and the future looks bright.
The dust is settling and with the additional resource we now have and the stability of a broader based business the future looks really good and I am excited about building the service we offer into the vision we always had for Private Clients.
If I’ve missed anything specific that you need more detail about please just let me know
CheersNik

Thanks for the response.
As you can imagine it has been a little disconcerting sat on the sidelines seeing all of this playing out and the accompanying myriad opinions didn't help.
I have nothing specific that needs addressing at this time but will check in from time to time to see how things are progressing.
Thanks again

FWIW, it seems to me that in the world of investing then taking our hands off the wheel is often the route to the best results. On that basis then a slight hiatus is perhaps no bad thing, presuming that we all remain invested in the things that we thought worthwhile in the first place.
