Having problems accessing my old IM account- can someone send me link to reset the user name/password or should this be the same as before? Seems like the front end access is the same but no joy so far!

Is Cobens now handling all requests for information about IM Sipp investments? Or are Quai and any residual IM staff still the contact point? My IFA is having problems getting information

        Hi Nilamac,

If you email the support address; support@cobensdirect.co.uk someone will be able to assist you or direct you to the correct contact if you are an advised client.

        Regards

        Adam

Hi, as part of a money juggling exercise myself and my wife want to shift money around from GIAs into ISAs. In the past I'd have emailed Coops and be happy for him to treat me like an idiot and talk me through it. Is there a direct email contact for him or should I just use the general support email?

Hi Jim, There should be a facility on the dashboard. I'll check with Dan on Monday and come back to you.

            Regards

            Adam

              @Renmure-Jim

              Hi Jim,

On your main screen scroll down to the bottom and you will see "move funds between accounts" you can move GIA funds over to your ISA accounts there

              Cheers

              Nik

Thanks both. All done. Easy when you know where to look 🙂
I'll probably end up asking a similar question in a couple of weeks to re-max out the ISAs but hey, it's good to chat 🙂

Correct to assume moving money from GIA to ISA could trigger a Capital Gain?

Hi Wibble, any gains and losses will be crystallised on sale. To be clear, the 'move' function, although a simplified dashboard process for the account holder, will still go through a sale of asset into cash in the GIA(using this example) and a transfer into the ISA tax wrapper. It is not an in-specie (transfer in its current form) process. Whether there is actual tax to pay will be determined by your individual situation. In summary, this process could trigger a taxable event.

                      Regards

                      Adam

The value of your investments can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you invested.
