Hi @Adam-Kay,
Rather than start a new topic I thought I would add to this one.
Looking back at the last 6 months (approx) for PHT, it seems there has been a slight drop overall until today.
Is this correct?
-
Hi SH, If you are asking, is PHT lower than its high set in July(10th) then yes it is. It is +38% YTD

@Adam-Kay problem is i dropped in a big chunk about 6 months ago lol
-
If it's 6 months ago then the portfolio has gained since then.
-
@Adam-Kay just to make sure my numbers are correct. From 17/5/24 to 5/11/24, i calculate a rise of about 0.9% - does this match up with your calcs?
-
Hi SL,
Circa 0.8%. If you would like me to look at anything, please let me know and i will email you directly

Maybe shows the value of “pound cost averaging”, or making regular contributions to investments to try and smooth out the ups and downs of the market
️
I know that the actual evidence is that something like around 2 times out of 3, you are proven to be better off dumping the big chunks in one go, but mentally I always “feel” it is generally better to filter it in
