Nothing to do with the move-Micron contributed a lot of it-discussed yesterday. Cobens Tech is by far the leading industry performer over ytd, 1y, 3yr and 4.5 year. There are no losses here.

No apologies necessary. Just clarifying our record

A semi-serious reminder that this money stuff is just a means to an end: that being Live Your Best Life

And on that basis, I've just ordered myself a high-spec VW Buzz, which the recent results will have contributed to very nicely thank you!
(And I have The Cure @IoW recorded for later

)Well done

After some recent challenges with my formerly trusty old XC60, we chopped it in a few weeks ago: now replaced by a nice Jag F-Pace. My first Jag….very nervous about the reliability, but hopeful it will be sound.
Not a funky engine - just a D200 - but also high spec - the cooling and massaging seats work very well in this weather
Let’s hope the performance keeps moving in the right direction

Here's a Q; I noticed the message on another thread about the times of the online portfolio updates moving from 9.30am to around midday. Does the dashboard update once a day (taking values from the market at the end of each day) or does it update a few times during the day as well, possibly tracking exchange rates?
I sometimes wonder if it does change a little during the day but I'm never entirely sure.

Hi O,
There is only the one price mark on the portfolios per day.

-
Mine is down too, taken to not looking and relying on something cropping up here to act as a signal on when things are on the up.
-
Not been alot of up for me of late.

The tech portfolio by its nature is more volatile than others we offer. As Bogie mentioned 10% odd off of its all time high. We have seen this many many times before and we will continue to experience periods of volatility. Whenever new highs are reached you always find a proliferation of media, social media/vested interest 'opinions' resurface to influence prices. The businesses we hold are sound, are executing at an elite operational level and earning record profits. That is what matters long term. The day to day whilst irritating(often) are part of investing.

Just thought I’d check in and see what’s going on currently. Taking recent withdrawals into account, and a small move to cash, my pot nevertheless seems to be on a not-insignificant downward trajectory just now. Any thoughts on that? Play the long game, etc etc, I know of course, but just seems to have taken a bit of a hit recently?

Hi Cappo, this thread is a good historical record of the reasons/logic behind the shifts over time. Recently it’s FUD. Google reported fantastic results, mentioned. Apex and the stock fell. You will be a significant move up today based on yesterday. Volatility in play but fundamentals/earnings/growth all rock solid. Apple fell a bit after reporting-imo that was bound to happen. The stock was at a very recent ATH. Klac unloved the past 2 weeks despite record results.
Amazon just reported a monster last night and popped, msft the same the prior day. Meta incurred a one time 2.1b legal settlement, operations beat. Not our first rodeo. -
You can choose any number of reasons why occasionally markets ‘lose their mind’, like sk Hynix trading at a 5 pe, reporting 557% growth and the headline is ‘they missed’. The only ‘miss’ was the opportunity. When a business grows at 557% you don’t get to say they missed anything when you’re valuing it at virtually nothing. A peg of .01.
