Perhaps a bit off topic (delete if needed!), but maybe a slightly philosophical thread to ease into the year
We enjoyed, as most, a very healthy financial 2024…although coughs, splutters and the lurgy wiped out some of December for us. Hard to tell where markets will move this year, even if many expect some corrections ahead. Staying invested remains a goal, although when you aren’t working, ‘buying the dip’ becomes more of a challenge
As someone coming up to 4 years without a paid job, I tend to spend these darker days plotting & planning ahead….some comedy, skiing then a summer of IOW & festivals beckons…with thoughts of a hitherto never attempted trip down under - !ǝsnqɐ oʇ ʎʇᴉlɐʇᴉdsoɥ ɥʇᴉʍ ,ZN puɐ zO ʇnoqɐ pǝɹǝʇʇɐɔs slɐd puɐ sǝʌᴉʇɐlǝɹ ǝʌɐɥ ǝM
Not to mention binging the superb Gavin & Stacey, enjoying a great Wallace & Grommit (cracking!), having a mighty fine week with ‘the kids’. Good food, great company, what’s not to enjoy
Oh, & a firm recommendation for seeing the Monet exhibition currently showing at the Courtauld Gallery in LondonThere are countless sources of financial guidance beyond these (useful) chats. Some make sense in parts, others feel a bit wacky.
One I wanted to mention was this recent James Shack masterpiece.
